About Course

We are excited to launch our Programming using MatataBot course, a progressive journey designed for students aged 7–12 that bridges the gap between physical play and complex computational thinking, conducted entirely in English within a 12-session program offering an intimate and highly interactive online learning environment limited to just 3 participants per group.

To ensure a hands-on experience from home, each student will have their own dedicated kit with them, allowing for a unique screen-less approach to coding and programming that uses physical blocks to ground abstract concepts.

Whether they are navigating “The Loop Lab” or mastering “Intelligent Machines,” students will develop essential debugging resilience and mathematical thinking in a truly tangible way.

MatataBot Kit & Add-on Requirements

The course follows a progressive approach using the Matatalab Pro Set. Each level introduces specific components to help students move from physical blocks to complex logical reasoning.

Level 1: Foundations of Logic (7-9 Years Old)

• Core Kit: Matatalab Pro Set (MatataBot, Command Tower, and Control Board).
• Components Used: Directional blocks and Loop blocks for pathfinding and repetitive patterns.

Level 2: The Creative Programmer (7-9 Years Old)

• Core Kit: Matatalab Pro Set.
• Add-ons: Artist Add-on and Musician Add-on.
• Components Used: Artist blocks for geometric shapes and Musician blocks for coding rhythm and melodies.

Level 1: Intelligent Machines (10-12 Years Old)

• Core Kit: Matatalab Pro Set.
• Add-on: Sensor Add-on.
• Components Used: Sensors to detect light, sound, and obstacles for “If-Then” logic and environmental interaction.

Level 2: The Developer’s Studio (10-12 Years Old)

• Core Kit: Matatalab Pro Set.
• Technology: Matatalab App/Scratch interface.
• Components Used: Transition from physical blocks to screen-based block coding while still interacting with the MatataBot and its sensors.
